Once all the bets are in, a flop is dealt. This is the first set of three cards that are dealt to the players. Ties are broken when two of the same cards appear. When there are more than two identical hands, they are broken by the secondary pairs.
When there are more than one player in contention, the next round is called a showdown. During this round, the cards are revealed and the player with the best hand takes the pot. Depending on the rules, the showdown may be a straight, flush, or five of a kind. Straights are a five-card hand, while a flush is a four-card hand.
